Crime prevention advice

Don’t Leave Items On Display – Remove Sat Nav and Holders and wipe away sucker marks. Remove stereos and mobile phones. Even an old coat or small change will attract a thief.

Use Alarms and Immobilisers – Remember to turn them on EVERY time you leave your car, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

Park Safely – Park in your garage if you have one and lock all the doors. Or if you park it on the road, make it a well-lit, open place.

Etch your vehicle identification number to surfaces – Etch it to all windows, windscreens and headlamps.

Mark all your equipment – Mark all items such as your car stereo with your registration number

Buy a Steering Wheel Lock – Use a steering wheel lock EVERY time you leave your car.

Secure your wheels and Number plates – Fit anti-theft wheel locks and number plate screws
