Appeal for footage launched after man is assaulted in Derby |
||
Officers investigating an assault in Derby are appealing for anyone who may have captured the attack on dashcam or their mobile phone to come forward. The incident happened at the junction of Osmaston Road and Horton Street on Sunday 17 August between 7.05pm and 7.30pm. A red Mercedes saloon car containing four men pulled up and three of them got out and began attacking another man who was in the street. They then stole two phones and a wallet from him before leaving the scene in the car. The victim, a man aged in his 40s, sustained injuries to his face, hands, arms and legs. Officers believe this was an isolated incident. A lot of vehicles were being driven past around the time of the incident and we are asking for anyone with dashcam footage who may have captured the incident to please come forward. We would also like to hear from any potential witnesses who may have filmed the attack on their mobile phones. In addition, anyone who has CCTV and has not already spoken to officers is urged to please make contact with us. Footage can be uploaded directly to this link - Evidence Request from Derbyshire Constabulary – or via the QR code.
