Silhill WMnow Update

Good morning everyone,
I hope you have had a good bank holiday weekend and done a better job dodging the rain than me!

Crime Update:
There has been a vehicle interference at Solihull Hospital on the 26th of August whereby two masked offenders have drilled a hole in a rear door panel of a Ford Transit in order to gain access. Thankfully no items have been taken from the vehicle.

On the 27th of August there was a Theft of Motor Vehicle on Lode Lane at around 02:00am whereby a Nissan Navar was stolen by unknown means.

On the 28th of August there was a Theft of Motor Vehicle on Henley Crescent where a BMW 330e was taken by unknown offenders without keys. This car was later recovered by police.

Good News:
Officers have made an arrest following a stop search on Tuesday where a large quantity of cannabis was recovered. A positive disruption for the team and a good shift overall.

The team have remanded a prolific shoplifter who has been targeting shops on the Warwick Road. He will be facing a custodial sentence and won’t be bothering any hardworking shop staff anytime soon.

I would like to thank our dedicated Street Watch group for being back out and about with us on Wednesday evening. Always nice to get a chance to catch up and be out on the patch.

More proactive patrols throughout the area over this past week have yielded plenty of intel leading us to further disruptions relating to drug dealing and car crime. Our force Traffic unit have also been out on patch clamping down on speeding and anti-social driving in the area.

I hope you all have a nice weekend, and stay safe.
