Crime Update

Good evening,

Dan and Ana are not on duty today so I'm sending the weekly updates for both Elmdon and Lyndon on their behalf. Just to save myself a bit of time, both areas will be covered in this one message. Hopefully we'll be back to full staffing next set of shifts and normality can resume with these updates.

Elmdon

Irving Road – a BMW M3 was stolen just before midnight. Offenders have snapped the lock on the properties rear door and stole the keys to the car. While inside the house, they also stole a laptop.

Charingworth Road – a shed was broken in to. The padlock on the shed was broken and a pushbike and power tools stolen from inside.

Leafield Road – registration plates were stolen off of a VW Golf.

Elmdon Park – there was an attempt robbery. The victim was riding their electric bike in the park when two males on a motorbike approached and knocked the victim off their bike. After a short tussle, the offender’s left empty-handed.

Merevale Road – similar to the above. The victim was cycling on the road when a motorbike approached with 2 males on it. The offenders blocked the victim’s path and pushed them off their bike. The offenders again left empty-handed.

Lyndon

Hobs Moat Road – a motorbike was stolen from outside the shops while the victim was inside a shop. Two males have pulled up on a moped and somehow managed to start the motorbike and ride off with it.

Dene Court Road – a Ford Fiesta was stolen at approximately 3:15am. The vehicle was abandoned a short distance down the road as the offenders must not have been able to get it going properly.

Jubilee Park – a pushbike was stolen. The victim was sitting on the bench with their friends when 3 males approached them. 1 of the males quickly jumped on the victim’s bike and rode off with it.

Castle Lane – registration plates were stolen off of a Nissan Juke.

All the best,

Mike
