Burglary Dwelling In the afternoon of Wednesday 20 August in Ogle Street, Hucknall, a male knocked on a door and claimed he was checking that the occupant was not being scammed by his carers. He was wearing some form of ID and was let in and spoke with the occupant and looked around the house. He was not from any agency or other official body connected with the occupant. Nothing was taken and it is not clear what the motive was. At 10.09pm on Sunday 24 August in West Terrace, Hucknall, a report of two males wearing black clothing jumping over a neighbours fence and damaging a door in an attempt to break in. They made off, carrying an orange bag for life, towards West Street and Wood Lane. Burglary Other At 3.15am on Thursday 21 August at McDonald’s Restaurant, Ashgate Road, Hucknall, two males entered the area behind the counter and took some food. They were stopped by staff who recovered the food and no violence was involved. The males who arrived on pushbikes were wearing black clothing and balaclavas. Theft of motor vehicle Between 3.30pm on Thursday 21 and 2.26pm on Saturday 23 August in Clumber Street, Hucknall, a silver Peugeot 208, parked in a car park at the rear of some houses, was stolen. Theft from motor vehicle Nothing to report Theft Nothing to Report Violence against the person. Around 1.12pm on Sunday 24 August on the A611 by-pass, Hucknall, the victim was being tail gated on a 40mph section of the road. The attacker pulled out and overtook the victim, stopped got out of his car walked back and punched the victim through the open window of his car while being verbally abusive. The attacker was a white male, blondish hair, tattoos on his arms and wearing a striped t-shirt. He was driving a silver Toyota Celica. Criminal Damage Between 3.00pm on Thursday 21 and 6.15am on Friday 22 August in Maori Avenue, Hucknall, a garage has been ‘tagged’ with something written on it. ASB At 8.40pm on Friday 22 August in Holgate Walk, Abbots Drive, Hucknall, a property was egged again. This is the third incident in ten days. A report at 2.38pm on Monday 25 August of scrambler type bikes being ridden up and down a jitty by riders wearing masks. Happens at all times of the day and night. At 9.50pm on Tuesday 26 August at Tesco Extra, Ashgate Road, Hucknall five or six teenagers, both male and female, racing two cars around the car park near McDonald’s for the past 30minutes. One car is a silver Peugeot and the second car had it’s boot open.
