Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

At 7.33pm on Tuesday 26 August in Outram Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a property was entered using a key and items removed and loaded into Skoda car.

At 10.05pm on Tuesday 26 August in Kirkby Road, Sutton in Ashfield, a known male forced his way into a property when the door was opened to his knock. He threatened the owner with a knife demanding his money or gold.. The occupant locked himself in a room and his attacker left.

Burglary Other

At 1.06pm on Friday 22 August in Outram Street, Sutton in Ashfield, the rear door of a shop was broken open and the premises entered.

Theft of motor vehicle

Between 1.30am and 1.45am on Tuesday 26 August in Charnwood Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a white Suzuki SV650S motorbike, with full fairing kit, was stolen from a driveway.

Theft from motor vehicle

At 8.41am on Friday 22 August in the KFC car park, Forest Street, Sutton in Ashfield, a white male dressed in black clothing entered a car through an open window and stole a purse. He was spotted and stopped by security staff and the purse was returned.

Theft

Between 10.00pm on Wednesday 20 and 8.00am on Thursday 21 August in Bank Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, an outdoor Pizza oven was stolen from a garden.

Robbery

Between 1.30am and 2.00am on Tuesday 19 August at Huthwaite Service Station, a male withdrawing money from the ATM was approached by two people wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. The victim felt what he thought was knife at his back and demands were made for money or he would be stabbed. He withdrew cash and gave it to his attackers who then left in the direction of the cemetery and the town centre.

Criminal Damage

Around 11.20pm on Sunday 24 August in Davies Avenue, Sutton in Ashfield, a stone was thrown at a lounge window smashing the outer glass of a double glazed unit.

ASB

At 7.19pm on Friday 22 August in Elder Street, Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of a black Ford Focus car being driven around the area in way guaranteed to make the maximum amount of noise, the exhaust ‘popping and banging’.

At 7.02pm on Saturday 23 August in The Oval, Sutton in Ashfield, a report of two 15/16 year old white males on the roof of the church near St. Marys Court. This happens at least once a week.

At 4.15pm on Tuesday26 August in North Street, Sutton in Ashfield a report that every day five or six males, age 30’s to 40’s congregate around the green internet box just after the alleyway. They drink and get drunk and are also taking drugs.
