Appeal following suspected assault

We are appealing for information after a man sustained injuries in a suspected assault in Stoke-on-Trent. 

A man reported to us on Tuesday (26 August) that he believed he may have been assaulted in the early evening of Friday 15 August. 

The assault took place somewhere between the Oldfield Street and Christchurch Street area of Fenton. 

The victim, who can’t remember what happened, suffered facial injuries and a nose bleed after being approached by someone from behind.

He has since been treated in hospital for facial swelling and neck injuries. 

We are appealing for anyone who was in the area at around tea-time on 15 August, or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
