REPAIR CAFE - BILBROOK |
||
Friends of Bilbrook are running their next Repair Cafe on Saturday 25th October between 10:00 and 13:00 in the Village Hall, Joey's Lane. Please come along and support this wonderful event. The Repair Cafe is a free meeting place that encourages visitors to bring in their broken household items to either fix themselves alongside volunteer repair experts or for your items to be fixed for you whilst you have refreshments. It is a global movement that aims to reduce waste and promote sustainability by repairing broken items instead of throwing them away into Landfill. Your Local Policing Team will be offering Crime Prevention Advice and should you have any issues you would like to discuss in your area, then this is a fabulous time to come and speak to us. We will also be offering FREE bike marking, where your bike will be marked with a unique number and then entered on the National Bike Register, so that if you ever lose your bike and it is tracked by Police, we will be able to return it to you. Even if you have no bike to mark and no items to fix, please still come along and see what other items we have on the day - free plants, handmade wooden toys and ornaments and a free book swap and bring us your unwanted cables (cables amnesty) or just come along and say hi. Look out for the posters going up around the village with more details.
