Attempted Burglary

Over the last week we had one attempted burglary of a home on Common Lane. The offenders tried to snap the locking barrel inside the rear door, but this was unsuccessful. The offenders then fled. Snapping a locak is a common method of entering a building for burglars and can be easily overcome by installing anti-snap locks. These locks are designed, as in this case, to break apart whilst still leaving a working locking function in the door, which is much harder to breach. These can commonly purchased in most trade stores.

To reassure you, I wanted to let you know the last time we had a residential burglary on any area of the Alcester Nort region, whereby intruders entered a residence, was over a month ago, on the 21st of June.
