As the summer holidays come to a close, we’re looking forward to welcoming students back to school this September. Whether it’s a new classroom, new teachers, or just getting back into routine, it’s a fresh start for everyone. 🛡️ Safety First – Tips for a Confident Return Let’s make sure our young learners feel safe and supported as they head back: • 🚶‍♀️ Walking to School: If your child walks to school alone, remind them to stick to well-lit, familiar routes and avoid distractions like phones or headphones. Encourage walking with a friend or sibling when possible. • 🎒 Keep Belongings Secure: Make sure students carry their bags securely and keep valuables like phones, travel cards, and lunch money zipped away. Label items clearly to avoid mix-ups or loss. • 🚸 Road Awareness: Drivers—please slow down near schools and watch for children crossing. Parents—teach kids to use designated crossings and stay alert. • 📱 Stay Connected: If your child has a phone, ensure it’s charged and they know how to contact you or a trusted adult in case of emergency. • 🧠Emotional Wellbeing: Starting school again can bring nerves. Let’s check in with our children, talk openly, and remind them that it’s okay to ask for help. Let’s work together to make this school year safe, successful, and full of growth. Wishing all students, families, and staff a brilliant start to the term!
