Hounslow Central Safer Neighbourhoods Team Granted Court Order for Prolific Offender

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding cycle theft, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

After months of hard work and investigation, Hounslow Central Safer Neighbourhoods Team have secured another conviction on behalf of the local community.

In December 2024, one of our local residents came into Hounslow Police Station Front Office to report that his bicycle had been stolen from Hounslow Town Centre. In January 2025, one of the shops on Hounslow High Street reported 2 shopliftings to the value of £368.45!
So Hounslow Central Safer Neighbourhoods Team set to work identifying these suspects – viewing CCTV and writing statements and recognised a familiar face to us. The suspect in all 3 incidents was a prolific offender who has been committing offences all over Hounslow and beyond.
Once we had arrested, charged and secured a conviction for the suspect, we applied for a Criminal Behaviour Order in an attempt to put an end to his offending. This was granted by the judge at court and a number of conditions were imposed on this prolific offender – including an outright ban on entering Hounslow Town Centre without reasonable excuse.

This is just one example of the recent work we have been doing to solve the long-term issues facing residents and bring prolific offenders to justice!

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
