Crime prevention for new business

Visited a new shop on Uxbridge High Street that sells sweets and snacks. I shared some crime prevention tips with the owner about shoplifting and gave advice on cyber security for card transactions and online payments. The business has now registered for the Met Engage platform.

Start-ups and small businesses are often targeted because they may not have the same level of security as larger companies, yet they still handle valuable data like customer details, payment information and intellectual property. 

They are also targeted by street crime. Its important for them to install CCTV cameras, maintain good security practices.
