Thanks to the Community - Message from Inspector Ferguson

I would like to take this opportunity to Thank the residents and businesses of the City Centre for their co-operation this weekend whilst the jovialities around the annual Pride festival are ongoing.

There is a significant Policing operation ongoing around the footprint of the event to ensure any fracas are dealt with swiftly and effectively. 

However, I can offer the reassurance that whilst footfall has increased in the Village are, we still have Neighbourhood and Response officers out and about in the wider City to ensure there is minimal impact on our day-to-day provision. 

Furthermore, we have the regular night-time economy operation ongoing throughout the weekend. 

Recent alerts on this platform highlight some excellent work from the Neighbourhood team that will continue regardless of what else is occurring in our great City. 

Inspector Hare and I are working throughout the Bank Holiday weekend to ensure the ongoing Operation around Pride has minimal impact on the community and partners that work and live in the City and I welcome any feedback or concerns.
