Westcotes Police Beat – Weekly Update 

Car Thefts

We’ve seen an increase in vehicle thefts across the area. Please remember to always lock your car, remove valuables, and consider using additional security such as steering locks or trackers where possible.

Bede Park – Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

We are aware of recent increases in ASB around Bede Park. Our officers have increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance and take action where necessary.

Hotspot Patrols

We’ve been patrolling “hotspot” areas across the beat – these are locations identified through community reports and crime data as having higher levels of incidents. By targeting these areas with regular patrols, we can deter offending, provide a visible presence, and engage directly with residents.

Cannabis Factory Disrupted

A cannabis factory operating within the beat was located and successfully disrupted this week.  We will continue to tackle drug-related activity in our community.
