Local Priorities Begging Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Begging, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

We are Proactively working on the issue of Begging in the City Centre.
We are unfortunately experiencing some organised groups (not homeless) coming from other nearby Cities in order to beg.
We would like to advise that if you want to help the homeless one of the most effective ways to do this is to donate to a homeless charity.
This is the best way to ensure that the money goes to the people who really need it. Thank you

If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.south-wales.police.uk, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
