Theft from a trailer in Richmond

A leaf blower has been stolen from a trailer parked within Lidl Car Park in Richmond.  It is believed to have been taken between the hours of 19:30 and 20:30 on Monday 18th August.

If you were within the car park and have seen anything suspicious during that time frame then please get in touch. You can do so via responding to this post or phoning 101 quoting reference 12250156145.

If you have a van parked overnight, please keep security in mind. You can make it much harder for offenders to target your vehicle by:

  • Removing tools overnight where possible or hiding them out of sight
  • Adding internal security such as tool lockers or improved door locks
  • Fitting a vehicle alarm and tracker
  • Fitting a dash cam
  • Parking in front of CCTV or a video doorbell where possible
  • Parking on a driveway with rear doors up against a solid object
  •

If you need to speak with a local officer for advice, you can also contact your local Neighbourhood Police Team directly via emailing NPTRichmondshire@northyorkshire.police.uk.

We also have property marking equipment, so if you would like your tools security marking free of charge then please contact us on the above email address or myself directly at elliot.brown@northyorkshire.police.uk.

    Thank you
