July Fraud Statistics 2025

Please see attached. Figures for June were not available to be issued.

The total loss for July is the second highest for this year which is disappointing, and online shopping and auctions appears as one of the major sources of loss again. Its important to be mindful that If it’s cheap then there could be a catch.

As ever there is sound practical advice in the letter – please forward it on to whom it may concern. If you can print this and pass it to any one who does not actively use the internet then this helps to increase awareness which often seems to be “it wont happen to me”. 

Please speak to your ward officer about what we can do in practical terms.
