WMnow Newsletter 22/08/2025 |

Its time for another update from your local neighbourhood Policing team. As you may or may not be aware we run police beat surgeries in Meriden and Balsall Common once a month to give members of the public the opportunity to sit down with an officer to discuss any concerns regarding crime or ask for advice in crime prevention, whilst these have been very successful and welcomed within the community, we’ve always tried to keep the dates of our surgeries in Balsall Common and Meriden around the same time so that they land on the first Monday and the Tuesday of the moth or as early as out shifts allow it. We’ve had a request from the libraries where we host them if they could be rescheduled to another time, we are still in talks as to when would be the best time to host them from October onwards but as soon as we have them locked in I’ll announce them in out next WMNow in addition to them being advertised at their respective library’s. Also, I’d like to remind you that we still have spaces available for those willing to take part in our Streetwatch scheme. StreetWatch is our community-led project consisting of groups of volunteers who go out and conduct a high visibility patrol their area helping to stop crime and anti-social behaviour by being a visible presence. It’s also a great way for help people in the area get to socialise and get to know each other so why not sign up and meet some of your local neighbours? You can find more information on regarding out street watch and how to join on our Street watch website. | ||
