Parking Safety Issues

Good Afternoon,

Today I have conducted a joint operation with Blackpool council to address parking concerns within your area.

It has been brought to our attention by numerous residents of the area of Cocker Street and Dickson Road about vehicles blocking access to alleyways and parking within them.

Blackpool council have spoken to residents and have advised that this behaviour is stopped as it presents a clear fire hazard. In some instances vehicles have been parked outside of fire exit doors completely blocking them off.

Vehicles causing an obstruction will be ticketed by the council and in the worst event seized. Additionally if there are any vehicles presenting an obstruction to the highway police also have powers to seize the vehicle.
