Operation Pallos ~Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPC'S)

#News #Update ~ Yesterday (Thursday 21/08/2025) Wigan Town Centre and Robin Park saw the return of Operation Pallos.

Operation Pallos is aimed at tackling the incresed use of illegailly modified Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles (EAPC'S) in and around the boroughs Town Centres. The use of which is creating an ever increasing danger to those you visit our town centres.

Yesterday, Sergeant Callaghan and the Neighbourhood Taking Team were once again active in the area.

The day started really positive with 3 seizures in Wigan Town Centre and an arrest for immigration offence.

They then moved to Robin Park where another 3 bikes were seized closed to McDonalds on Gower Street.

Throughout the day, the Officers involved received overwhelming support from the public who were overjoyed to see such action.
