Two arrested over drug offences

We have arrested two men on suspicion of drug offences following a stop-and-search in Newcastle-under-Lyme. 

Officers following intelligence stopped a car in Kidsgrove at 1pm on Wednesday (20 August). 

A search of the vehicle and an associated address revealed £2,000 cash and three mobile phones. 

Two 23-year-old men, both from Stoke-on-Trent, were each arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs. 

They have each been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
