Stone - Information appeal

We are appealing for information after a Magpie was found injured. The bird’s injuries are believed to be as a result of the use of an air weapon.

The bird was discovered just off Eccleshall Road, Stone , on Wednesday (20 August)

Sadly, the magpie died. Although it is not an offence to engage in this type of activity, there are laws in place around the use of such weapons in residential areas.

It is an offence for any person to use an air weapon for firing a pellet beyond the boundaries of any premises - Please view the attached link for more information around the safe use of air weapons - Air weapons: a brief guide to safety
