DEPTFORD COMMUNITY COME TOGETHER FOR THE GRAND RE-OPENING OF THE RIVERSIDE YOUTH CENTRE

Police officers from the Local Deptford area attended the grand opening of the new Riverside Youth Centre. The centre is aimed at allowing local children and teens to have a safe space to hang out and join activities they would never have had the opportunity to try. 

This new Lewisham refurbishment aims at improving the quality of life for youth in the area and increasing their opportunities. A spokesperson from the team told us "This was a great ribbon cutting event with words from the young mayor of Lewisham. It was great to see so many involved and what a great asset for the young people in the area to have"
