Longford Updates |
||
Dear Residents and Local Businesses,
Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with:
PATROLS Officers have been carrying out patrols of the Longford areas on foot and in vehicles. We have been paying particular attention to locations that have recently experienced an increase in crime and anti-social behaviour.
VEHICLE SEIZURES Officers seized a vehicle from Cherrybrook Way, Bell Green on 21/08/2025 for no tax.
BURGLARY We have had multiple garage and shed break-in’s this week in the Longford area. Three garage’s were broken into on 20/08/2025 between 00:05-00:15 on Kanzan Road. No items have been stolen from within the garages and offenders were disturbed by a resident. If you heard or saw anything that may be suspicious, please contact us on 101 quoting 20/349621/25, 20/349624/25 and 20/349628/25. A garden shed was also broken into on Aldermans Green Road. This occurred between 20:00 on 19/08/2025 and 11:35 on 20/08/2025. No items were stolen during this incident. If you heard or saw anything that may be suspicious, please contact us on 101 quoting 20/351347/25.
We will continue to pay some passing attention for reassurance to residents. For crime prevention advice on how to keep your homes safe, you can visit our website here: Keeping your shed or garage safe and secure | Crime prevention | West Midlands Police
VEHICLE CRIME We are continuing to see vehicle crime in the Longford area. We have had one theft of motor vehicle. The theft of motor vehicle occurred on Lentons Lane between 19:20 and 19:40 on 20th August 2025 where a motorbike was stolen. It was later found and reunited with its owner. If you have heard or seen anything, please contact us on 101 referencing 20/351114/25. There has also been an increase in keyless vehicles being stolen alongside vehicles being broken into and tools stolen from within. We recommend that owners of these vehicles use a steering wheel lock to prevent against theft and to remove any tools from their vehicles when the vehicle is not in use.
