Perry Barr Neighbourhood Team Update

Local crime: 

Here are the crime updates for Perry Barr area between 01/07/2025 and 31/07/2025

 

Birchfield Road – Theft of pedal cycle – Between 9.56am and 10.23am on 09/07/2025, unknown persons approached a yellow and black GT Aggressor XL frame bike. Bike owner secured bike to bike rack at Perry Barr train station. When they returned to bike rack, bike was missing. 

Manor Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 2:30pm and 4:38pm on 15/07/2025, two unknown males approached a secure, parked and unattended Yamaha motorcycle. Males stole motorcycle by unknown means.

Aldridge Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 5pm on 17/07/2025 and 3:45pm on 18/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Fiat 500. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means. A makeup case was stolen.

Calshot Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 8.30pm on 20/07/2025 and 7.38am on 21/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Transit Van. Offenders gained entry and stole Van by unknown means. 

Railway Terrace/ Old Walsall Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 2:55am and 3:10am on 22/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. 

Cliveden Avenue – Theft of a pedal cycle – Between 4.36pm and 5.29pm on 23/07/2025, unknown persons approached an insecure Muddy Fox pushbike, picked it up from driveway and stole it. 

Rocky Lane – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 8pm on 28/07/2025 and 6:20am on 29/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Jaguar F-Pace. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. 

Destiny Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 5pm on 26/07/2025 and 3pm on 27/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended BMW 118. Offenders have gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. 

Walsall Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 8pm on 30/07/2025 and 12am on 31/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Seat Leon. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means

 

Local news:

  • 1st July 2025 – Officers from the team delivered Knife crime / Personnel Safety talks to young people at Fortis Academy.
  •  

  • 2nd July – Pcso’s from the team attended Birmingham Settlements to interact with the art and crafts group.
  •  

                                   

  • 5th July – Officers from the team attended a party at Birmingham Settlements were the children got chance to dress up. 
  •  

                                     

     

  • 11th July – Officers visited Alexandra Stadium whilst School groups were taking part in Sports Day.
  •  

  • 12th July – Crime prevention / Police Surgery at One Stop Shopping Centre.

  • 14th July – Officers attending Community Day at Witton Lakes Eco Hub.
  •  

                            

             

     

  • 20th July – Officers patrolled around the grounds of Alexandra Stadium due to reports of Anti- social behaviour.
  •      

     

    What we have planned:

    Going forward we will make sure our presence within the community is both seen and felt

     

    We plan to continue to patrol schools to make sure everyone is safeguarded.

     

    We will continue our patrols in area's known for anti-social behaviour and drug usage.

     

    And we will continue to build up relations with local groups to allow for us to reach the widest amount of people possible.
