Crime updates for the Oscott area from 01/07/2025 to 31/07/2025

 

Dunedin Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 8pm on 03/07/2025 and 7:45am on 04/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Audi A3 Sport. Offender gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. 

Booths Lane – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 7pm on 04/07/2025 and 4am on 05/07/2025, unknown persons approached secure, parked and unattended BMW. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. 

Cooksey Lane – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 8pm on 03/07/2025 and 5:42pm on 06/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Mazda 3. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means.

Birdbrook Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 10pm on 07/07/2025 and 10am on 08/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Volkswagen Golf. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. 

Birdbrook Road – Interference with a motor vehicle – Between 7am on 02/07/2025 and 1pm on 09/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Abarth. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by smashing window and destroyed the dash trying to hot wire car. 

Elliston Avenue – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 9pm on 09/07/2025 and 8am on 10/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means.

Felstone Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 11am and 3:53pm on 11/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Nissan Juke Acenta. Offenders removed and stole both number plates.

Booth Lane – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 10pm on 10/07/2025 and 11am on 11/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. 

Warren Road – Burglary – Between 4pm om 12/07/2025 and 11:49am on 13/07/2025, unknown persons approached property from the rear, gaining access via the rear garden. Offenders have entered property by smashing patio door window. Once inside they have searched all rooms in property and the following items have been stolen. Two gold necklaces, one set of gold earrings and £400 in cash. 

Kingstanding Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 12am and 6am on 16/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Fiesta. Offenders gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. 

Thorncliffe Road – Burglary – Between 12:01am and 7am on 20/07/2025, unknown persons have climbed through upstairs bedroom window, entering property. Whilst inside property offenders have taken car keys and a handbag. Handbag was found outside the property. Vehicle was stolen.

Popular Drive – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 12am on 11/07/2025 and 10:20am on 25/07/2025, unknown persons approached secure, parked and unattended Land Rover. It is believed offenders gained entry to vehicle by smashing the window. Offenders stole vehicle. 

Queslett Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 8am and 6:30pm on 25/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Land Rover. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means. Offenders stole a wallet and a pair of airpods. 

Atlantic Road – Burglary – Between 3am and 4am on 25/07/2025, four unknown males have gained entry to rear garden of property and smashed patio door window. Offenders have searched property. Occupants have disturbed offenders causing them to flee. Samsung S25 mobile phone stolen. 

Dormington Road – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 12:01am and 5am on 28/07/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Renault Traffic. Offenders gained entry to vehicle by unknown means and stole a selection of tools from inside the van.

  • 1st July 2025 – Officers from the team delivered Knife crime / Personnel Safety talks to young people at Fortis Academy.
  •  

  • 2nd July – Pcso’s from the team attended Birmingham Settlements to interact with the art and crafts group.
  •  

                                   

  • 5th July – Officers from the team attended a party at Birmingham Settlements were the children got chance to dress up. 
  •  

                                     

     

  • 11th July – Officers visited Alexandra Stadium whilst School groups were taking part in Sports Day.
  •  

  • 12th July – Crime prevention / Police Surgery at One Stop Shopping Centre.

  • 14th July – Officers attending Community Day at Witton Lakes Eco Hub.
  •  

                            

             

     

  • 20th July – Officers patrolled around the grounds of Alexandra Stadium due to reports of Anti- social behaviour.
  •      

     

     

    What we have planned:

    Going forward we will make sure our presence within the community is both seen and felt

     

    We plan to continue to patrol schools to make sure everyone is safeguarded.

     

    We will continue our patrols in area's known for anti-social behaviour and drug usage.

     

    And we will continue to build up relations with local groups to allow for us to reach the widest amount of people possible.
