Take a look at what the Safer Neighbourhood Team have been up to today.... 👀

We have been in the area of Scarcliffe where we spoke to residents regarding some concerns in the village. 🗣️

We have also been in New Houghton where we advised some children on the dangers of climbing on top of a bus stop! 🗣️

We went into Langwith and Whaley Thorns and are pleased to see no signs of ASB and kids playing nicely on the park 👏🏼

We delivered some house alarms to someone who was feeling vulnerable and wanted some reassurance 🫂

We have then been in Shirebrook where we have spotted numerous vehicles where the driver was not wearing a seatbelt! That being said, we would like to remind you all about one of the "Fatal 4" - WEAR SEATBELTS!!! 🚫

We have also given safety advice to a child about how to sit correctly as a passenger when their parent is driving. ✋🏼

We also gave safety advice to another small child who was riding a bike on the road without a helmet - 10/10 for polite manners and an apology and fully understood our concerns 😊 *PARENTS - Please buy a helmet! They save lives!*

We've also conducted safeguarding for vulnerable people 🫂

🚫 We have again had to remind local people about the Public Spaces Protection Order in Shirebrook which prohibits anyone from having an open vessel of alcohol.

❗We are aware of off-road bikes causing a nuisance and will continue to put together targeted patrols in order to tackle this.
