Visiting Lifestyle projects in North East Lincolnshire |
||
Last weekend an officer from our Grimsby Neighbourhood Policing team met with two Lifestyle groups to learn about to learn more about how their summer projects are going. On Saturday (16, August, 2025) in a local supermarket “Charity Lobsters” explained how they have spent their summer crafting homemade gifts including cards, bracelets and keyrings to sell at local events. The group also spoke to customers in a local supermarket about their project, kindly asking for any donations to the local charity Doorstep, who support young people experiencing homelessness. “Charity Lobsters” also took donations of toiletries and dry goods which alongside the donations will all be given to Doorstep. On Sunday (17, August 2025) an officer met up with a couple of the "Holy Helpers" team at St Michael's Church. They are clearing an overgrown area in the churchyard, creating a wildflower garden including bird feeders to create a tranquil area for people to enjoy. They are also running several events to raise funds to be able to purchase the garden equipment required for the project. These are just two of the teams across Humberside who are making a difference in their community and helping others, make sure to keep an eye out for more Lifestyle stories that will continue to be shared throughout the coming weeks! ![]() | ||
