Stolen car recovered

Good evening all, 

On Friday 15th August 2025, myself and colleague PCSO Green were out in Heathfield doing some local patrols. We noticed a car parked up in the car park on Edgar Road that did not have any number plates and had a smashed back window. On checking the VIN number of the vehicle, it showed on police systems that it had been stolen from Hampton in April during a burglary. We arranged for the vehicle to be collected and taken to the police pound in Perivale. The owner has been notified and was thrilled that the car had been recovered.  This is the fourth stolen vehicle we have been able to recover from Heathfield this year!

If you notice any cars that have been parked in odd places, have damage to them and/or have had their number plates removed, please let us know as they may be stolen or being used in crime. We as a neighbourhood team can then come and complete checks on the vehicle.
