Unoccupied Properties

Good Evening

We know kids love to be out and about, enjoying the sun (whilst it lasts!) and their freedom before heading back to school in a few weeks, but it is really important they are also staying safe and away from criminality.

In recent weeks we have had a number of reports from concerned neighbours regarding teenagers breaking and entering into an unoccupied property and taking part in anti-social behaviour, and we wanted to let you know what we are doing to tackle this issue. We are visiting any areas of concern on a daily basis to ensure that no one tried to gain entry and working with partners to make this property inaccessible, as our first priority is always the health and safety of your community.

We cannot stress enough how dangerous this is. Not only is this breaking the law, but it is also a health hazard with broken glass, collapsing roofs and rotten floor beams.

So, whilst we do our bit to keep you and your children safe, we'd ask that you just have a chat with them about what they're up to in their free time and that they're aware of potential dangers whilst out and about.

Thank you
