Offender update

Good afternoon, 

On the On 14/08/2025 a suspect was arrested in connection of a business burglary in the Deansgate area. Officers have been made aware this suspect has now been charged and remanded in court for the offence of burglary (other- business) for the theft of a electric pedal bike. The suspect attempted to use his age as a defence to his crime, claiming in interview he does not remember the offence taking place. The judge did not entertain this façade and sentenced him to 8 months imprisonment and £1000 compensation order being the value of the electric bike. This is due to the offenders complete and flagrant disregard to people and their property, with the defendant operating as a professional criminal.
