Some good news on a Sunday afternoon…

YOU SAID - More speed enforcement!

WE DID - Another successful Road Traffic Operation!

This morning officers conducted a Road Traffic Operation across two locations in Ramsbottom and Hawkshaw:

📢 One driver arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and possession of class B drugs is now spending their afternoon in sunny Custody!

📢 10 vehicles were stopped, all travelling over the speed limit. The fastest recorded speed being 39mph in a 30mph zone.

📢 Two drivers were issued Traffic Offence Reports which will result in fines or points on licences. 

We will continue to conduct proactive operations around the behaviours that contribute towards road traffic collisions. It may come as no surprise, that speeding is the biggest cause of casualties and people killed or seriously injured.
