Harringay Update - Met Engage |
||
Good afternoon Harringay Ward,
I wanted to give you all an insight into the kinds of activity we are involved in as Ward Officers. As an example, here is an overview of what we have been up to during a recent week's shifts (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday) :
- Patrolled the ward on foot and in a minibus - Antisocial Behaviour Warning and Community Protection warning issued - Carried out enquiries on behalf of other policing departments - Took part in a yearly safety training refresher - Assisted in policing the series of live music events in Finsbury Park - Made contact with residents reporting antisocial behaviour - Submitted intelligence reports to inform policing activity in the borough - Carried out stop-searches in Finsbury Park - Arrested a suspected persistent offender on the ward
Today we have also been out in our unmarked vehicle looking for wanted offenders around the ward, as well as patrolling the Ladder and Passage areas on foot. We have also checked on the New River Path and checked in with the Wightman Road Mosque.
We would love to engage with more Harringay residents. You are welcome to join us on any of our published community events or arrange a meeting with us to discuss any concerns you may have. If you have any suggestions of community events you would like us to attend, please let us know.
Kind regards,
PC HALPIN - HARRINGAY SNT
P.S. - due to the current hot weather, I also wanted to share a link to a Haringey Council site that contains details of “cool spaces” that everyone can use to keep cool around the borough if they are out in the heat. https://haringey.gov.uk/environment/major-emergencies/find-a-space-to-cool-down-heat
