Parking Issues...

Hello All

Parking around the Derbyshire Dales is a hot topic and a concern for its residents. But sometimes the correct agency is not contacted and it can mean that that agency's hands are tied - even though this is a frustration to that agency as keeping our residents safe is the first and foremost thing on the list.

Here is a list of who is best to contact about parking issues (below will be the links to the websites, and photos of the issue happening at the time is also key)…

πŸš™ CEOs (Civil Enforcement Officers) are responsible for enforcing:

β›” limited waiting bays

β›” on street pay and display bays
β›” residents’ parking zones
β›” Blue Badge bays
β›” loading bays
β›” bus stops
β›” taxi bays
β›” school keep clears
β›” clearways
β›” dropped kerb access (also police)
β›” double-parking (also police)
β›” pedestrian crossings (also police)
β›” car parks (with orders)
β›”  obstruction – for example, pavements with no parking restrictions

πŸš“ The police are responsible for enforcing:

β›” double white lines
β›” obstruction – for example, pavements with no parking restrictions
β›” dangerous parking where there are no restrictions in place, for example, on bends, brows of hills and junctions
β›” dropped kerb access (also CEOs)
β›” double-parking (also CEOs)
