Pleck Neighbourhood Local Priorities

Good evening and welcome to this Pleck Neighbourhood Team update.

We wanted to share with you information about local priorities. What they are, how they are decided upon and how they can help improve your local communities.

Throughout the year Walsall Police will be holding PACT meetings (Partners and Communities Together) where local people can come and speak to local Police, Walsall Council and Partners. From these meetings there could be a share issues that a number of residents are concerned about. If agreed, this issue can become one of the priorities listed on our website, with actions and updates listed on how the issue can be resolved.

Another priority could come from our own patrols in the area and issues or locations we repeatedly have to attend.

There are trials taking place to carry out surveys in local communities and if from these surveys, an obvious issues is highlighted, this too can be included in our local priorities.

In the past few months 2 of the local priorities, which were raised at previous meetings. ASB at Merton Way and ASB in Dora Street, were dealt with by regular patrols, working with local communities, local partners and businesses. This work resulted in both issues being resolved and local residents much happier with their day to day lives.

We wanted to share with you, that by attending meetings, having priorities, can have a real impact on improving your local area.

Thank you and look out for the next PACT meeting.

Kind regards

The Pleck Neighbourhood Team
