Three Career Criminals Pruned in the Gardens

Officers from the Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team have been out on foot patrol today, continuing their commitment to keeping the area safe for residents, businesses, and visitors.

During the day’s proactive patrols, officers made three separate arrests for a range of offences. These included a suspect detained for shoplifting, another arrested on suspicion of burglary, and a third individual wanted on recall to prison. The swift action was made possible thanks to the visible police presence in and around the gardens, allowing officers to respond quickly to suspicious activity and engage directly with the public.

Sergeant Jon Wyatt said “We know that a strong, regular presence in Piccadilly Gardens helps deter crime and reassures the community. These arrests show that our officers are not only patrolling but actively tackling crime as it happens.”

The Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team continues to work closely with local businesses, community groups, and the public to address concerns and make the area a safer place for everyone. Today’s results highlight their ongoing dedication and the importance of community engagement in fighting crime. Members of the public are encouraged to speak with officers when they see them on patrol and to report any suspicious behaviour. Together, police and community can ensure Piccadilly Gardens remains a safe and welcoming space in the heart of the city.
