Theft from a vehicle

Dear Resident,

We have had two reports so far of theft of power tools from vehicles on Oundle road & Huntingdon road.

Both occurred between 2am & 2.40am early on Tue morning 12 August.

There are some simple but effective things you can do to help protect your vehicle:

Park your car in a garage or driveway if possible, or on a busy, well-lit road. Choose a ParkMark® accredited public car park wherever possible

Never leave anything on display in your Vehicle .The cost to repair damage to the vehicle will usually exceed the value of the theft

Drivers of some Toyota and Honda vehicles and some 4 x 4’s should install measures to deter theft of catalytic converts e.g Catloc | Catalytic Convertor Theft Protection
