Attempted theft of parts from a Ford Focus at Solihull Retirement Village, Victoria Crescent

Location: Solihull Retirement Village, Victoria Crescent, Shirley.
Date and time: Between 17:00pm on the 09/08/2025 and 10:05am on the 11/08/2025.
Details: Individual(s) attempted to remove the front bumper of a Ford Focus, but were unsuccessful. 

Where possible, avoid leaving valuables and tools in your vehicle overnight and make sure that your vehicle is locked before you leave it. Officers from your local neighbourhood Policing Team will be conducting high visibility patrols in the area in a bid to prevent further offences and try to catch offenders. PLEASE CONSIDER INSTALLING A STEERING WHEEL LOCK ON YOUR VEHICLE, AS THIS CAN DETER VEHICLE OFFENDERS.

A steering wheel lock is a great deterrent against vehicle theft. Car alarms, immobilisers and trackers are also worth investing in. Good quality CCTV equipment covering your driveway is also a deterrent and can give officers valuable footage to assist with apprehending thieves.
