Joint Operation DVLA/ESBC/POLICE 13/08/25 - Shobnall

On Wednesday 13th August 2025, Officers from Burton Neighbourhood Policing Team assisted the Civil Enforcement Team from East Staffordshire Borough Council (ESBC) and the DVLA with a multi-agency operation in the Shobnall area of Burton.

The Initiative was arranged by ESBC in response to a high volume of complaints being received from members of the community concerning vehicles parked illegally throughout the area. The vehicles reported were described as not having an MOT, vehicle tax or insurance, with a number being repaired on the highway and being left abandoned for sustained periods - all of which is having a detrimental impact on local residents and impeding on roadside parking availability in the area.

A large number of vehicles were removed by the DVLA with many more clamped and issued fines.
