Your Weekly Bablake Update

Weekly Update from your local Bablake NPT

Dear Members

Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.

What’s Been Happening

 Burglaries

Two reports of burglaries this week ☹.

The first happened on Bowness Close. This was, what we call a Car Key Burglary. Offenders broke in and demanded the keys to the car from the resident. A frightening experience for them.

The second one happened on Overslade Crescent. Offenders have broken in during the night. The resident found their porch doors wide open in the morning.

With the heatwave we are having at the moment, it’s only natural to have doors and windows open but please make sure they are locked before going to bed.

Vehicle Crime

There have been three reports of vehicles being broken into in the past week. These have all happened in local hotels. Enquiries ongoing.

A vehicle was stolen from Greens Road as well. It had been left locked and secure so unknown how the offenders gained entry.

Remember to check that your vehicle is locked when you leave. Sometimes the remote might not be doing its job properly.

You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com

. In other News

In relation to the car key burglary mentioned above, good news!! Two males have been arrested and charged with the offence.

The team have continued proactively patrolling areas that have been bought to our attention.

A male was stopped and found to be carrying a knife! He’s been arrested and charged.

Don’t forget you cannot carry knives or any bladed items without a good reason. It is an offence.

Officers recovered a stolen motorbike as well after a resident reported it being dumped by their home. It had only been stolen about ten minutes earlier. A Warwickshire resident made very happy when reunited with it.

The team will continue with patrols. If you have any issues where you are, let us know and we will do our best to help you.

Until next week

Stay safe everyone.
