Here is your quick round up from me and the rest of the Holbrooks neighbourhood policing team.

Dear Resident,
Here is your quick round up from me and the rest of the Holbrooks neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening?

On Saturday our officers were out on patrol conducting checks on locations known for anti-social behaviour. The officers came across a small group in the l communal areas within the location who did not live there and were without a valid reason for being there. The males were searched under the misuse of drugs act and one of the males was found to be carrying a large quantity of cash and an amount of synthetic cannabis. The drugs were seized and the appropriate action taken against the male.

As a team we have been working hard to identify offenders for outstanding offences ranging from Shoplifting, Theft of fuel from petrol stations and Assaults. The offenders identified can them be circulated as wanted on the police national computer. The officers on the team then conduct arrest attempts for these identified offenders at addresses associated or areas the persons are known to frequent.

On Sunday as part of the arrest attempts conducted by the team our officers attended an address and arrested a male who was wanted on recall to prison.

We attended a call from a member of public on Thursday in relation to a Motorcycle which they had seen being dumped behind a bin shed in the garden area of a block of flats. PCSOs attended and located the motorcycle. Checks on the Police National Computer (PNC) showed that the motorcycle has been stolen within the hour. The motorcycle was recovered by our recovery agent and the owner notified. Intelligence was also gathered from local residents about possible persons involved in the motorcycle thefts.
