Cadet Leaders Needed - Could you volunteer ?

Glossop SNT - Cadet Leaders needed in our area!

  • We are currently recruiting for Volunteer Cadet Leaders.

This is an amazing voluntary opportunity in Glossop, and a great way to learn more about policing, with training provided.

  • Help to develop our Cadets in active citizenship.

You’ll be passing along the information you learn about police procedure, criminal law and crime prevention to our cadets, and take part in team building activities and local community events.

You will be a vital member of the cadet team, coaching, supporting and helping our cadets to develop their character and confidence, while building up your own!

  • What do I need?

You don’t need previous experience with policing to apply, but if you can volunteer 4 hours per shift to fit in with a regular rota to suit you, you can help us to provide vital support and mentoring to our cadets. All we ask is that you:

  • Have the ability to supervise a team of young people and help them to achieve set objectives

  • Have good organisational skills and basic IT skills

  • You are aged 18 years or older

As a Police Support Volunteer, you'll be making a real contribution to the success of the organisation by bringing communities into policing and policing into communities. Using your spare time to do something worthwhile and that really makes a difference.

  • What’s next

If you want to talk to someone in more detail about the role, please get in touch with our recruitment team.

To understand how you can make Derbyshire safer together visit our careers website.

To support you with your application we have provided some appication guidance and our recruitment process.

As a Disability Confident Leader, we value diversity and inclusion and encourage applications from underrepresented and neurodiverse backgrounds, so that we can truly reflect the communities that we serve in. Get in touch to chat about how we can support you.

* Glossop Police  Cadets meet on Wednesday evenings between 7 pm – 9 pm at The Cadet Centre, Fauvel Rd, Glossop SK13 7DW.

* Below are just some of the exciting activities you’ll get involved in during your service:

· Learning about police procedures and criminal law

· Team building activity weekends

· Duke of Edinburgh expeditions

· Inspection and drill

· Crime prevention

· Local community events

· Charity fund raising

· Physical training

· First aid
