Weekly update |

Hello Resident,I hope you are well.
We would like to update you on what we have been doing in the Bartley Green area this week: . we have attended a drop-in session at Milebrook hall and it was nice to see so many people turn up to the event and speak to us regarding issues in the area. . we have also assisted officers in the management of crime scenes what have took place in different areas giving our fellow colleges some assistance.
In the past week, we have received three reports of a motor vehicle being stolen in the area. We advise you to make sure that you have the necessary security measures to keep your vehicle secure and safe. This can be a Disk lock for your car’s wheel or a hand brake/gear stick lock to secure your gear stick and hand brake so that way the offenders won’t be able to put the hand brake down and change gears.
We have had five reports of suspect’s breaking into the homes of residents to steal anything what they deem valuable from inside. We advise you to take the necessary precautions to prevent your home from being broken into. We advise you to make sure your home is secure and all windows and doors are locked to prevent any one from entering. We also advise you to install security measures such as anti-snap locks making it harder for people to force there way in, and we also advise you to install CCTV cameras or ring doorbell cameras to help get a video of the suspect entering your home to help deter them from breaking in, or to get a clear image of the suspects face or vehicle that they may have used.
We still encourage residents to register their home/business CCTV and doorbell cameras, as this helps us solve crimes by providing us the appropriate footage what captures the crime in question. This not only helps us solves crimes, but it also helps to keep your community safer.
We are still experiencing an increase of demand from across the area over the last few weeks, with more people calling and asking for help. Our staff are working extremely hard to answer and respond to your calls and live chats. But due to the high demand it can cause callers to have to wait longer than they should, what if something neither of us want at all. We prioritize your enquires/calls based on how urgent they are, but we always appreciate that you want help as soon as possible.
In Non-emergencies circumstances, we want you to get in contact with us through the live web chat, or the Non-emergency telephone 101. If your circumstances are emergencies, then please call 999.
We are still looking to recruit for the Street watch initiative. For further information please visit the WMP website for details. Bartley Green Neighbourhood Team. | ||
