TWO MEN CHARGED WITH DRUG OFFENCES

Two men have been charged with drug supply offences in Cannock after we found heroin and crack cocaine inside a car. 

Ben Steele, 29, of Moxley, Walsall, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, possessing criminal property and possessing a controlled drug of class B – cannabis. 

Shaid Ali, 57, of Chadsmoor, Cannock, has been charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and possession of cocaine.

It comes after officers from our major and organised crime team stopped a car in Chadsmoor on Friday 1 August. Heroin and crack were found in the driver’s door pocket. Further searches in the area uncovered more drugs and £490 in cash. 

They both appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 2 August. Steele has been bailed and Ali has been remanded ahead of their next appearance at Stafford Crown Court on 5 September.
