Criminal damage incident, local events, Community Speed Watch, Joint Councillor surgeries, patrol and community updates

Good evening everyone,

Please find at the bottom of this e-mail the dates, times and locations of upcoming street surgeries along with a list of locations I have patrolled from 07/08/2025 to 11/08/2025. 

Criminal Damage Incident - We have received a report of a criminal damage incident on Leveson Road, where 2 objects were thrown at 2 vehicles causing damage. The incident took place on 08/09/2025 between 02:30am - 02:45am. If you have any CCTV, Dash Cam, or any information that may help our enquiries, please call 101 quoting serial 196 of 09/08/2025 - thank you 

How are we doing so far on Staffordshire Smart Alerts. At the time of sending, this e-mail is being sent out to 1243 persons in Trentham and Hanford. I want to send a very big thank you to you all in helping to make this system a success. 

Every week I can see the system going from strength to strength, with residents often giving feedback that they are finding the e-mails helpful – and your feedback is imperative in helping me give the best possible service from the Neighbourhood Policing Team. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the service, please do let me know. 

As I have often said, I want the system to be a community platform, helping to showcase the very best of Trentham & Hanford - and should we have issues, by working together, as a community, I have absolute confidence that we can deal with whatever comes our way.

Community events 

On 09/08/2025 I attended the Trentham Community Fun Day. 

I want to send a huge thank you to our Resident Associations and everyone who helped to organise and make this event a great success. 

On 09/08/2025 I also attended The Summer Fayre at Trentham House Care Home. This was another great event! Thank you to Trentham House for inviting me along.

Community Speed Watch  

I want to introduce everyone to Dave & Sue, who are members of the Trentham & Hanford Community Speed Watch Team. 

Community Speed Watch is where residents can help raise awareness of the dangers of speeding. I know that many of you have told me your concerns about speeding in a number of locations across the area. 

Dave & Sue attended both of the above events and are doing an absolute amazing job in helping to promote the work of Community Speed Watch. A big thank you to them and to all of our Speed watch volunteers for the great work they do!

In order to increase the number of locations we can do across the area we do need more volunteers. If you would like any information or would like to volunteer, please send me a message and I will be in touch. 

Patrols

I feel it is imperative that our patrols are in the places you want them to be and we are addressing the issues you want addressing. 

I was asked to increase patrols of New Park Gardens – 

This week I have been patrolling, meeting residents and was made aware that there is a resident’s meeting here every two months, of which I will be ensuring I attend in the near future. Evening patrols were also completed on 10/08/25 and 11/08/25 and I am happy to report that I came across no issues. 

I was also made aware of concerns around Anti-social behaviour in the form of suspected under-age drinking at Burrington Drive. 

I attended this location on 10/08/2025 and 11/08/2025 and I am happy to report that I came across no issues. 

I was also made aware of parking concerns at Edward Avenue. Throughout the last few days I have attended this location a number of times and I am also happy to report that I came across no issues. 

Police & Councillor Joint Surgeries

On 11/08/2025 I met with Councillor Maxine Clark and held the second Police and Councillors joint surgery, which are held at the Trentham Community Library. These will take place once every two months and I will announce in the very near future the date and time of the next meeting.

Tomorrow (13/08/2025) - There will be a street surgery at Brook Road 18:45 - 19:00 

On 18/08/2025 there will be a street surgery at Churchill Ave 11am -11:15am 

On 19/08/2025 there will be a street surgery at Meerbrook Cl 11am - 11:15am

On 20/08/2025 there will be a street surgery at Windsor Road 11am - 11:15am

On 21/08/2025 there will be a street surgery at Edward Avenue 18:45 - 19:00

On 22/08/2025 there will be a street surgery at Collinbourne Cl 18:45 - 19:00
