An update from your local neighbourhood team

Dear Resident,

No two days in policing are ever the same, and that was certainly true for our eastern neighbourhood team who had a busy set of early shifts last week!

Here is what they got up to:

👮Three positive stop-searches – two people in Welland were found in possession of cannabis and one man was found in possession of spice in Eastfield

🚑Assisted our Spree Offender Team by administering Naloxone to a man who was experiencing a potential overdose. He was left in the care of paramedics

⚖️Made four arrests, three of which were charged with various offences and due to appear in court next month, and one has had no further action taken against them

👮Attended various community events and engaged with local residents, such as a visit to Wesleyan Road allotments in New England to address anti-social behaviour (ASB)

🔪Carried out a visit to talk to someone about knife crime

🛍️Collected some evidence in relation to one of their current priorities – retail crime in Parnwell. This will be used to help us identify those involved

👮Assisted our response colleagues with looking for those reported missing from home

🏍️Dealt with a moped which had been involved in a collision

👮Engaged with partner agencies about ways to safeguard a vulnerable member of our community

🍻Attended a licensing panel to discuss conditions for a shop’s licence following complaints from the local community about alcohol-related ASB

You can find out more about your local neighbourhood team, such as their priorities and upcoming events, on our website.

Kind regards,
