Dronfield SNT crime update – Shop thefts Over the last month Dronfield SNT, with support from response officers have been focusing on prolific shop lifters in the area. All our prolific outstanding offenders have now been identified arrested and charged in connection to the reports made against each of them. They are all awaiting court appearances which we will share updates on outcomes as they become available. Dronfield SNT continues to work closely with local shops and retailers to address and prevent further incidents.
Going back to school – School parking / safety As schools and nurseries return after the summer break, please consider the following when dropping off or collecting children: Do not stop or park near to a school entrance and keep off school “keep Clear” markings. Avoid double parking. Do not park in a way that blocks access for other vehicles. Keep pavements clear, ensure there is at least enough space for a double buggy to pass safely. Consider residents, do not block driveways and access points. Consider the needs of people who are blind or partially sighted, elderly or using mobility aids, wheelchairs or buggies. Poor parking should never force someone into the road. Dronfield SNT will continue to work with NEDDC parking enforcement team, Derbyshire County Council, local schools and nurseries to address concerns and take relevant enforcement action if necessary.
