Weekly Update from your local Bablake NPT
Dear Members Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.
What’s Been Happening . Burglaries Good news! No burglaries reported.
. Vehicle Crime Unfortunately, in this part, there have been a few reports of vehicles being tampered with ☹ Five vehicles have had their back windscreens smashed at a local hotel. Investigations and CCTV trawls are underway. A vehicle was also broken into on Fuller Close. Enquiries ongoing.
Remember to check that your vehicle is locked when you leave. Sometimes the remote might not be doing its job properly. You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com
. In other News Our enquiries into the vehicle crime in the past week, have given us a positive result 😊 One person in custody.
We received a few calls from concerned residents of an elderly male looking confused and wandering up and down a road in Bablake. Officer’s attended and reunited him with his worried family. We often get calls like this. If a member of your family suffers with dementia please look at Herbert Protocol which is national safeguarding initiative used by Police across the UK to help locate vulnerable people, particularly those living with dementia, if they go missing.
A local resident has been served a Community Protection Warning following repeatedly calling 999 without a genuine emergency. He was making on average 60 calls a month to police. This is unfair to genuine persons who need our help and can’t get through
Until next week Stay safe everyone. If you have any information about crime in your area you can let us know 100% anonymously by contacting CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111 Get involved. For more crime prevention advice visit: www.west-midlands.police.uk /crime prevention | ||
