Neighbourhood Update.

Dear residents,

 

Please see a weekly update and information from the local neighbourhood team of policing actions carried out across our neighbourhoods. 

 

Lead roof thefts in Pelsall.

We have had a number of thefts of lead taken off people's roofs  in the Pelsall area by a white male (no further description known). Please remain vigilant and any suspicious behaviour please report to 101 or use web chat via west midlands police website, or in an emergency please contact 999.

 

Reassurance patrols around Brownhills in relation to criminal dam,age and antisocial behaviour.

Officers have been conducting foot and pedal cycle patrols around the Avenues estate of Brownhills, following reports of criminal damage in the area. CCTV enquiries have been conducted into this matter.

We have also dealt with a number of young people who have been targeting homes in the Barnetts Lane area playing ‘knock door run’ but this can have a detrimental effect on people as this is an harassment offence. We have worked alongside community protection at Walsall council to issue warnings to young people involved. 

 

Foot patrols around Aldridge central and upper car park in relation to drug dealing.

Regular patrols are occurring in and around Anchor Parade and on the rooftop car park in relation to reports of drug dealing in this vicinity. We have previously intercepted what was believed to be drug deals at this location and will continue patrols in this area going forward. Any information please do not hesitate to contact 101.

 

Suspicious male in Pheasey area.

A suspicious male has been attending the locartion of The Longhorn Public House, trying car doors in this vicinity. Please remain vigilant regarding this and secure your vehicles at all times. Officers have attended the location and conducted wider area patrols.

 

Patrols around Morrisons , Aldridge. 

Patrols are being carried out around Morrisons in Aldridge to deter and prevent shoplifting offences. 

 

Attempt Arson, Aldridge Anchor Road

A male was arrested swiftly by officers on the team following an attempt Arson outside the police station. This has not affected any local residents and was not targeted at any residents or businesses who live or work in this vicinity. 

 

Theft from Costa Coffee, Aldridge

A male was arrested following a theft from Costa coffee in Aldridge village, and another male was arrested by officers for recall to prison from the Aldridge area.

 

ASB Tamworth Close, Brownhills

Officers are working in partnership with housing in the vicinity of Tamworth Close following reports of antisocial behaviour by way of illegal off road bike usage in this area. We have identified a number of people who are riding illegally at this location and will be following up with actions by ourselves and housing association jointly. Patrols have been conducted and will continue at this location to deter, prevent and action any further illegal activity.
