Ellesmere Port & Neston Police Neighbourhood Crime update - 21 July to 3 August 2025

Please note this is not a complete list of all incidents reported during this period - it is purely for the information of local residents to make them aware of incidents that have taken place within their area.

Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

 

ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Whitby
  • Thamesdale – Glass pane in front door of property smashed.  No entry gained.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Parkgate
  • Unknown male has entered the grounds of the property where they have walked around the building and knocked on the rear door.      He has then walked back around to the front of the property and moved around some items before trying the door handle before walking back to the road and off in the direction of the Wirral Way.

    Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Coliseum Way – Spoken cut on the rear wheel of a push bike, secured in the bike racks outside the cinema.
  • Kingsley Road – Lock cut off alley gate.
  • Lancaster Gardens – Window at property smashed.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Former ‘Groves Sports & Social Club’ set alight, resulting in extensive damage to property.

    Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Thornton Road – Luminous green and black Apollo push bike left outside ‘Gunners Arms’ Public House taken by unknown children.
  • Rossmore
  • Grosvenor Mews – Grey electric Carrera bike (no battery attached) taken from outside the front door of the property by an unknown person wearing a face covering.
  • South Pier Road – Aerial taken from a boat.
  • Frome Court – Wheelie bin and gardening tools taken.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Neston
  • Station Road – Trek push bike, hidden near to red bridge/Wirral Way, after breaking taken by unknown person.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • North Road – Secured black Carrera bike with red pedals and red Specialised BMX styled bike taken after locks cut off.

    Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:
     

    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Victoria Road – Insecure vehicle (no further details) entered and blue disabled permit taken from dashboard.
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Well Close – Occupant woken in the early hours of the morning to find an unknown male had accessed her vehicle by unknown means and was searching through it.  Another male was standing at the roadside.  Both males ran off in the direction of Mill Lane.

    Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
     
    ELLESMERE PORT EAST  

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Unknown vehicle driven in to an Omoda 5 Noble, parked in car park near to ‘Asda’, causing damage to the front bumper. 
  • ELLESMERE PORT WEST  

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • The Village – Fiat 500e has eggs thrown at vehicle which have then dried and set.
  • Parkgate
  • Leighton Road – Suzuki Carry mobile coffee van has two tyres slashed and paint poured over the roof which has then ran down the vehicle sides.
  • Grange
  • The Boulevard – Following attendance at an incident officers return to Police vehicle damage to the vehicle consisting of the windscreen having been smashed and the body work around the frame bent out of shape. The wingmirror has been hanging off and a dent has been made into rear nearside wheel arch by unknown means.
